Every year we propose a selection of movies with wine to our venues and the venue chooses from the shortlist. We'll be bringing back some perenial favourites but would love your feedback on some new movies with wine content.

Some of our most popular movies with wine have come from your ideas, including Die Hard, Young Frankenstein, The Holiday and Moulin Rouge.
So, here's your chance to help shape the coming year of movies with wine, courtesy of our event poll. I don't need to explain that these will be full on themed experiences with all the great wine, dressing up and silliness that you have come to expect.

Movies with Wine .. for the Wine Nerds
We'd also like to understand your appetite for a more niche Movie with Wine experience.
Last year we screened the UK premiere of Somm, a documentary following the journey of four Sommeliers attempting to pass the legendary Master Sommelier exam.
It was great fun and got us thinking that there might be an opportunity to head further down this rabbit hole in the smaller 30 seat auditorium at The Mockingbird, offering elevated wines at a slightly elevated price for a more intimate experience. The events would be less 'rowdy' and geared to the fellow wine nerds in our audience.
The movies we have in mind are:
Bottleshock (2008)
The story of the 1976 Judgement of Paris, a wine tasting that changed the world of wine as we know it portrayed on screen by Alan Rickman and Chris Pine.
The Secret of Santa Vittoria (1969)
Oscar nominated comedy starring Anthony Quinn set during WWII in Italy, when a wine-producing village hides a million bottles from the Germans.
Further screenings from Jason Wise's Somm series
SOMM: Into the Bottle
(2015): A sequel that explores the history of wine through ten different bottles.
SOMM 3
(2018): This film features three legendary figures in the wine world opening rare bottles and a blind tasting in New York reminiscent of the 1976 Judgment of Paris.
SOMM: Cup of Salvation
(2024): The most recent installment, a James Beard Award-winning documentary about a father and daughter confronting war and discussing the significance of wine to humankind.
