About The Event
Join wine geek Tony Elvin of the Wine Events Company as we present a unique showing of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical classic, ’The Sound of Music' (1965) alongside a themed wine tasting. This enchanting, Oscar winning movie will be paused at appropriate moments to pour your next glass as the Wine Events Company host this tasting of five stunning ‘Sound of Music’ themed wines alongside a liberal serving of fun movie trivia. Our movie tells the story of Maria (Julie Andrews), an aspiring nun, sent as a governess to take care of seven motherless children in Austria on the eve of World War II. After discovering that Maria is just the latest in a long line of failed governesses for the mischievous children, her jovial and loving nature soon tames their hearts.
