DINE Chris Giles vs Tony Elvin - SOLD OUT

We had an amazing evening last autumn when Chris Giles, landlord of the Butlers Arms in Sutton Coldfield, challenged Tony to a Wine-Off. Chris and Tony pitted their food and matching skills against each other over a five course dinner. Unfortunately for Chris, he lost by one point and is keen to redeem himself. Of course, Tony thinks Chris was lucky to get away with a narrow loss last time around.

So we're going to do it all again and I've tried the food already . . . it's a collection of Middle Eastern dishes and they're all stunning.

Tony met Chris and Paula some years ago at a Hotel du Vin wine dinner. They have subsequently become good friends through a shared appreciation of great food and wine, something that their Pub in Sutton Coldfield is famous for; The Butlers Arms. It was rumoured that the only reason they put these events on was for the many planning meetings, eating food and tasting wines that such an event requires. Neither Chris or Tony could confirm or deny the rumour on the basis of the wine induced amnesia.
